Day 1.- Flight Lima- Tarapoto

Tarapoto Reception at the airport and transfer to Pumarinri . Dinner and overnight.

 

Day 2.- Tarapoto - Alto Mayo - Abra Patricia - Gocta

07:00 07:00 Breakfast and departure towards Gocta, visiting on route Wakanki orchid garden in Moyobamba, the Alto Mayo forests and Abra Patricia mountain pass. Arrival at Gocta at late afternoon, to see the sunset in front of the falls.

19:00 Dinner and overnight at Gocta Lodge.

 

Day 3.- Hike to the Gocta Waterfalls

07:00 Breakfast and departure (8:00) to the waterfalls, hiking across Andean farms and forests. Arrival at the base of the falls. Snack box on the way back.

13:30 Arrival to the lodge. Lunch. Free afternoon. Dinner and overnight.

Day 4.- Full day Kuélap Fortress & Chachapoyas

07:00 Breakfast and departure

(8:00) towards Kuelap, visiting the picturesque Andean villages along the route.

10:30 Arrival to the fortress parking lot and 15min. walk to the entrance. Guided tour around Kuelap.

14:00 Lunch at the village of Maria or box lunch.

15:00 Departure towards Chachapoyas.

17:00 Arrival to Chachapoyas. Free time to visit this colonial city.

19:00 Return to Gocta, dinner and overnight.

 

Day 5.- Leymebamba, Revash and Mumies Museum

07:00 Breakfast and departure

(8:00) towards  Leymebamba, visiting the traditional market at Yerbabuena if on  sunnday.

10:30 Visit to Revash mausoleums.

14:00 Lunch at Leymebamba.

15:00 Guided visit to the Mummies Museum 16:00 Return to Gocta, dinner and overnight

 

Day 6.- Valle de Luya: Karajía & Quiocta

07:00 Breakfast and departure

(8:00) towards Cruzpata, where we'll start the walk to Karajia sarcophagi.

13:00 Lunch in a typical restaurant at Lamud. After that, we'll visit Quiocta caves.

16:00 Return to Gocta, dinner ad overnight.

 

Day 7.- Gocta - Pomacochas - Tarapoto

07:00 Breakfast and departure

8:00  towards the Marvelous Spatuletail Centre, where we'll be able to appreciate several hummingbird species and other birds and local flora.

10:00 We retake the road towards Tarapoto, crossing again the Pomacochas Lagoon and the Alto mayo forests. Box lunch on route.

15:00 Arrival at Tarapoto and transfer to the airport. In case of late flights, free use of Tucan Suites swimming pool and facilities will be allowed
